ART DOES DESIGN

ART DOES DESIGN

April 20 – May 30, 2009
Location: DCOTA, Suite C-126. 1855 Griffin Road, Dania Beach. Florida.

Exhibition Concept:

There is a pre-conception that designers must always choose the art as an aesthetic décor to supplement and finish an interior project. With this exhibition the roles of the artist and designer will be playfully inversed. The artists will transition to the position of interior designer. Using product from within the DCOTA showrooms, the artists will create vignette installations that further manifest the concept and aesthetic of their artwork.
As a result an interesting art installation exhibit will be produced for the gallery. This theme exhibition will be not only featured in the Dot Fiftyone Gallery at DCOTA, but also throughout the center in a vignette format within the selected design showrooms.
This exhibition concept will integrate the designer within the gallery and the artists within the showrooms. The event will be sponsored by Arte Al Dia International Magazine and LUXE Magazine.
